Also known as Wat Mahathat Wachiramongkol, this is an old temple which was recently extensively renovated with financial support from the current King of Thailand. Its main feature is a magnificent chedi, on which the attention to detail has to be seen to be believed, both outside and in.
The murals on the inside have been painstakingly restored, and are a sight to behold.
