This used to be one of our favourite swimming spots, but was spoilt for us when they invested in a new restaurant and increased their prices for food and for access. Still, some visitors may like it.
It has a small and very clean river which flows quite fast with various rocks and pools. It is popular for swimming and you can see many small fish. They have rubber rings available, and also kayaks in which you can go up and down river.
Some adjacent private landowners think they can prevent you from using the water, which they cannot, but you must not alight onto their land.
You may see an occasional large lizard. The coffee shop was very good, and there is a circular pond with paddle boats for children.
